Do you want to get serious about sewing? You require a machine that would last a lifetime. And you might not want to blow your budget on third-class machines.
In my embroidery career, I have used many sewing machines and I always praise the one that works best for me. Many people ask me how can you say that the machine is the best. I claim that the machine which is producing quality stitches finishes the project in the least time, has an easy setup, and most importantly is affordable, is the best machine in my view.
Janome is known for its high-quality sewing machines, and the HD3000 is no exception. Its strong frame and heavy-duty motor make it a real power horse when it comes to stitching heavy fabrics. But do you know it also comes with 18 built-in stitches, which is a lot for a portable machine?

Machine Overlook Review:
Color:
It’s a white machine and it matches perfectly with my decor. I’m not a huge fan of the color choices that they have available but I think that is just a personal preference.
Material:
The machine is made out of metal so it should last a long time I have been using it for almost a year now and it still looks brand new.
Weight and Dimension:
It feels very solid and heavy as its weight is 18.7 pounds so you will be able to use it for a long time. I love that the machine is in large size, 10 x 19 x 15 inches, so I can sew and quilt projects that require the use of a table saw.
Power Source:
The machine uses a treadle to power the machine so you can get the machine started without having to use a cord. It’s easy to use and the controls are very intuitive.
Overall:
This sewing machine can be used for sewing, embroidery, quilting, cross-stitch, and for sewing decorative stitches.
It is very easy to use. All you need to do is to load the material into the machine and start the sewing process. The foot pedal automatically adjusts the needle position.
The speed and feed settings can be adjusted using the dials on the right. The machine has a built-in LED light, which illuminates the area where the needle is moving. The needle automatically stops when it reaches the end of the fabric.
Enjoying Janome hd3000 heavy-duty sewing machine reviews or not? So here is my own review of it.
My Experience and Review:
As I have purchased this machine almost one year ago and at that time it was a cheap pick. Till now it’s affordable but prices change with a great hike. As usual, the machine arrived in a nice big box with many useful accessories. One thing which I want to quote; most people complain in janome hd3000 sewing machine reviews that accessories are limited and not enough. Ohh Man!! They just give these accessories for you to take a start. So you have to buy your own threads, needles, bobbins, etc.
Using Janome HD3000 is my daily routine task in our workshop where dozens of other machines also work. Firstly I will say that it is a basic machine that everyone can set up. I will suggest watching Youtube videos instead of the manual while you setup it up.
Because of the price, I was unwilling to buy it, however, I knew I wanted a machine with a metal frame in order to have a strong, long-lasting machine. I’m really pleased I did since this thing sews like butter.
Someone asked can it sew two layers of fabric. The answer is yes but if you are going for quilting, then a big no. Some crafters say that it can do quilting but, according to my findings, the harp space is hardly enough to quilt much more than a little lap quilt or just hanging, and there is no walking foot. I do not really think it can perform the free motion, but even if it does, it won’t be pleasurable in that limited space.
Somehow you might face some technical issues at the start, so don’t hesitate to take help from Janome Help Center, they really have a devoted and kink staff.
I am quite pleased with my purchase and would suggest it to anybody looking for a machine that is straightforward to use with thin to heavy materials, including vinyl and leather.
- Really solid frame
- Heavy-duty machine
- Super easy to sew
- Perfect choice for beginners
- A true workhorse
- It’s not a cheap one
- I am unable to quilt
- Its little bulky
